How the course works, the facts about Indian markets that every lesson relies on, the FNOTrader screen that answers each question, and how to practise on the demo account before risking money.
Every lesson has a video, and below it the complete lesson in text with animations — use whichever suits you.
NIFTY futures and options, 5-level snapshot depth, an estimated aggressor side, and the order types brokers actually allow.
Every mechanism — the queue, a footprint bar forming, imbalances, absorption, a sweep — shown step by step.
Each idea ends on the FNOTrader screen that shows it, captured from the live apps with numbered callouts.
Ten setups written as context, trigger, entry, invalidation, scratch and management, so you can test them.
Five questions at the end of each module, with the reasoning behind every answer.
Every lesson relies on these facts. Exchange rules, lot sizes and costs change, so check the current values when you trade.
The same seven questions, in the same order. Each has one place to look.
| Step | Question | FNOTrader screen |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Context | Where is value? Where are yesterday’s levels? What kind of day is it? | Market & Volume Profile |
| 2. Participation | Is the move broad, and what are options positioning and IV saying? | Options Analytics, Volatility Analytics |
| 3. Trigger | Who is aggressive, and is that aggression failing? | Footprint Charts (+ Depth of market) |
| 4. Execution | Entry with capped slippage, a planned stop and a scratch rule. | QuikTrade Terminal (Demo account first) |
| 5. Management | Group SL, trailing and profit lock while the trade runs. | QuikTrade Terminal |
| 6. Review | Journal, best and worst point reached, execution cost. | QuikTrade journal |
| 7. Validation | Does the level-based part of the setup hold up over years? | Algo & Backtesting |
Every setup in this course is written with numbers, so that you — and anyone else reading your rules — would take exactly the same trade. Here is buying absorption at support (NIFTY futures, 5-minute footprint, 1-point rows) as an example:
| Rule | Starting value |
|---|---|
| Location | Price within 5 points of a marked support: prior VAL, PDL, naked POC or IB low |
| Aggression | Bar delta below −1.5 × its 20-bar average absolute delta |
| Concentration | At least 35% of the bar's volume in the lowest 2 rows |
| No progress | Bar low no more than 3 points below the previous bar's low |
| Confirmation | Next bar closes above the absorption bar's POC, with delta turning positive |
| Entry | Limit order at the absorption bar's POC on a pullback, or capped market order on the confirming close |
| Invalidation | 2 points below the absorption bar's low |
| Scratch | No move of +1R within 3 bars, or a new bar with stronger selling that holds below the entry |
| Targets | First: developing POC or VWAP. Second: the next high-volume node or prior VAH |
Before any real money, run the setups on QuikTrade’s demo account with the same rules you would use live.
| Rule | Detail |
|---|---|
| Where | The QuikTrade Terminal ₹1 Cr Demo account. Paper first; real money only after your numbers say so. |
| Instrument | NIFTY futures, 1 lot. Read the current lot size from the contract on the day. |
| Risk per trade | Pick a fixed rupee amount you could lose comfortably every time, for example ₹3,000–₹5,000. Your stop comes from the setup’s structure; the size comes from the stop. |
| Daily limit | Pick a daily loss limit, for example ₹10,000. When it is reached, you stop for the day. |
| Orders | Limit orders, or market orders with Mkt Protect. No unprotected market orders. |
| Log every trade | Planned vs actual fill (slippage), initial risk, best and worst point reached (MFE / MAE), how it ended (target, stop, scratch or time) and the costs. |
| Review | After 20 demo trades, work out win rate, average win and loss, expectancy, profit factor and drawdown (Module 12). |
